They ruv Nintendo. They ruv Sony. But will they ever ruv Microsoft?
The Xbox 360 didn't do as well in Japan as Microsoft would have liked. Despite that, lots of 360's have gone from the Japanese shelves, but a couple of Core packs still remain over in the land of the rising sun. Is that because there weren't many games available at launch? Maybe it's because the RPG they were promised was pushed back till next year sometime? And the list of Backwards compatible games in Japan is a joke - something like six. Shame really. The other countries would kill for those spare Xbox 360's. The Premium Pack or the Commemoration Pack as it is known over there has proved somewhat popular though. That's because it comes with a free copy of Final Fantasy online, or the beta test of it at least. However, if you're still wanting a Xbox, and you're willing to import, just get one
from here. Give a Japanese Xbox 360 a Ruvving home.

With the release of Mario & Luigi: Partners in Time, Sonic Rush, Mario Kart DS and of course Animal Crossing: Wild World my DS is going to be getting a lot of use this holiday season and frankly I'm sick of looking at the silverness of it. It was sleek when I first got it, but with the recent releases of Electric Blue, Racing Stripe Red and Strangely Masculine Pink the silver just feels a bit dull. Switching from my usual preference of blue or orange, I'm thinking about a red one this time... either the above, from decalgirl.com, or the below, from vinzdecals.com. Help!

First of all, this isn't a post to make fun of the name. It could use some work though...
But I really like the idea of this. I usually take my DS with me when I go places where I'll have some free time, god knows my pockets are deep enough - how handy would it be to have a dictionary with me at the same time? This version is a Korean-English brand, and there's Japanese-English dictionaries out there as well, but I wouldn't mind just a plain ol' english dictionary/thesaurus to carry around in my DS, especially when I'm sitting around with my notepad.
"Me and ma homies iz going to sell dis 360 on eBay!" ~Chafe and da Chav's
Sure, Bill Gates has enough money to do a lot of things, but you wouldn't think he'd be so generous as to buy a Chav a brand new set of Helly Hanson clothes, and an expensive cap to boot, with enough money left for 'a round of beer' for 24 hours, seeing as that's been legalised here in the UK now. Of course, I'm talking about the battle between Chav Vs. Gamer - where Chav sleeps outside a gameshop (lets be honest, they're used to roughing it anyway), snaps up a 360, and flogs it on eBay to the real gamers, who didn't get down there in time, ordered from Amazon who cocked up their order, or mislaid their pre-order slip. 850 quid is around the average Premium pack bid now, that's almost triple money for those medalling Chav's. More patient entrepreneur Chav's will hold on to their sealed units and sell them nearer Christmas for an even bigger return. UNLESS Bill puts a stop to this, and releases all those surplus 360's he has held in his worldwide warehouses, which he might do now he knows that he's putting money in other peoples' pockets. Master Chafe would also like to add that he his not a Chav himself, he simply put his life on the line and posed for the picture above, purely for your amusment.
*This is in no way a jealous rant because the courier couldn't find my house on launch day, making me wait until Monday as a result.*

Today Major Nelson made an update on his blog to squash some of the 360 rumors going around, mainly about the shortage and Microsoft holding back some supplies to keep hype going. While that isn't something I'd put past Microsoft, Major Nelson is pretty well known in the Xbox Live community for being honest, even if he is a bit biased here and there. He states that every 360 that's been built has been shipped out and they're constantly shipping more everyday. He doesn't mention the UK launch tomorrow but I'll assume he's referring to all regions in his post. To read it click
here - he also makes note that the recall rumors are completely false.
